La Unique African American Bookstore & Cultural Center is an independent bookstore and cultural destination in Camden, New Jersey. Founded by Air Force veteran Lawrence “Larry” Miles, the store specializes in books by Black authors and titles exploring African American history, culture, identity, and achievement. Visitors can also encounter African artwork, sculptures, jewelry, clothing, musical instruments, and other culturally significant items. Beyond retail, La Unique serves as an educational space where individuals and groups can learn about African and African American history through exhibits, community programming, and conversation.
